Nina Raine’s West End transfer of Consent could not have come at a better time. With the #metoo campaign gaining momentum daily (as it should), Consent manages to open up our eyes just a little bit further to an issue that is often brushed under the rug.

Consent is ultimately a play about relationships. The relationships they have with their friends, their lovers and in the case of Ed (Stephen Campbell-Moore) and Tim (Lee Ingleby) their clients in a rape trial. Whilst the issue of Consent often appears it is often in the context of these relationships and what happens when consent breaks down or wrongly assumed to be given.

Final casting has been announced for the thought-provoking play, Consent, which opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre come May.

The National Theatre production of this "blistering new play" (New York Times) from Nina Raine will be making its way to the West End stage come May, following a sold-out run at the Dorfman Theatre. Consent was nominated for a Susan Blackburn Smith Award.
